Manuel came from Venezuela to Caltech to study Electrical Engineering and was working on his Bachelor of Science when he received the 2007 Jane & Frank Warchol Scholarship from the SVC Foundation. He would go on to complete both his BS and MS degrees at Caltech.
Manuel was able to attend the SVC Techcon in 2006 in Chicago. He says “Great Experience. I got to learn about the techniques used and research done.” The SVC Foundation Scholarship “definitely helped me focus on my studies!”
After graduation, Manuel worked at Schlumberger in Texas on the hardware used for the oil and gas industry. He is currently Director of Product Development at Microsilicon, which is building a “first-of-its-kind” paramagnetic sensor.
The SVC Foundation wishes him all the best in his future endeavors!
