OUR MISSION
Striving to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the lives of our students.
One of the SVC’s long-term goals has always been to support charitable, educational, and scientific activities. As its first initiative, the Foundation created a scholarship program aimed at supporting enterprising students and practitioners who have an interest in furthering their education in the field of vacuum coating technology.
The Foundation also grants travel awards to students to attend and present technical papers at the annual SVC Technical Symposium. More recently, the Foundation created a scholarship for those already in industry. Since its inception, these programs have combined to award over $380,000 to students and technical staff from around the world.

Thank you to all participants of our 17th 5K Run/Walk in Washington, D.C. in May. We plan to host our annual Run/Walk again in Chicago (2024) along with a Virtual 5K Run/Walk option. More information coming soon.
