2024 SVC Foundation Travel Sponsorship Award: Hosna Sultana
Since 2013, the SVC Foundation has joined the SVC to help support students that are traveling to the TechCon to present their research. If you include this year’s students, the SVC Foundation has supported 60 students from over a dozen countries. We are proud to introduce the 2024 recipients of the SVC Foundation Travel Sponsorship and hope you will attend their presentations in Chicago.
Hosna is a Ph.D. student within the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Oklahoma. Her research is centered around the design and engineering of optical metamaterials operating within the mid-infrared wavelength spectrum, aiming to advance polarization information detection and imaging technologies. Her talk titled “Optical Metasurface Engineering for Enabling the Mid-Wave Infrared Polarization Detection” will be presented in the Thin Film Sensors session.
