SVCF NEWS

Since 2013, the SVC Foundation has joined the SVC to help support students that are traveling to the TechCon to present their research.  If you include this year’s students, the SVC Foundation has supported 60 students from over a dozen countries.  We are proud to introduce the 2024 recipients of the SVC Foundation Travel Sponsorship and hope you will attend their presentations in Chicago.

Adrian is a Ph.D. student at the Public University of Navarra in Pamplona (UPNA), Spain.  During his research at UPNA, he has studied the use of different PVD coatings (AlTiSiN, DLC, TiN…), for applications such as cutting and forming tools, biomedical applications, or automotive industry.  He will present his research during the HIPIMS session with a talk titled “Multilayer Ti/TiN structures deposited via HiPIMS on ZK60 Mg alloy to control its degradation rate.”
