Rezoana received a B.S. at Bangladesh University of Professionals, an M.S. in Nanotechnology at the Asian Institute of Technology in Thailand and is now pursuing a Ph.D. at the University of New Brunswick. Her Ph.D. supervisor is Dr. Zahra Khatami, who happens to be a former SVC Foundation scholarship winner in 2012.

Rezoana’s research is focused on single photon source (SPS) emitters for quantum memory devices. This research aims to improve the photon collection efficiency of single-photon sources by designing and characterizing different nanophotonic structures such as microcavity, ring resonator, etc. Her long-term aim is to become a top-tier academic and researcher and to contribute and explore new frontiers of knowledge in the field of nanophotonic systems.
